The Opportunity: For the first time, we are opening doors for highly skilled GPP 5G L1/L2
systems designers in India to be part of our global development teams. This is your chance to
contribute directly to the evolution of Ericsson 5G NR and play a critical role in defining how
millions connect and communicate worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform systemization for features in Radio Physical Layer and Radio Resource Management for radio functions like Beam Forming, Massive MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, Dynamic Spectrum Sharing
• Specify new 5G system features and functions, including requirements, test cases, algorithms, use cases, parameter settings and address any interactions with legacy features and functionality
• Develop software simulations for the performance analysis of features and algorithms either link-level or network-level simulations.
• Drive continuous improvements of products, simulation tools and processes
• Support system verification and perform analysis of test results.
• Support the deployment of new 5G & 6G products and features into customer networks. Work with Customer troubleshooting and analysis. Understand customer configurations and issues.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong background in communications theory and digital signal processing
• Solid understanding of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of the Physical Layer, Radio Resource Management and Mobility
• Experience in SW development for Link and Network Simulations. Languages include: Java, C and C++, matlab
• Analytical mindset and result orientation to deliver even when under pressure
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage many different projects at once
• M. Sc. or Ph.D. degree in a relevant area, preferably with proven experience and knowledge in the above- mentioned required skills areas
Desirable Skills:
Experience in cloud-native and containerized network functions.
Knowledge of O-RAN and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with AI/ML applications in telecom.
