We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Mechatronics Design & Release Engineer to join our team. As an Interiors Design & Release Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of interior components and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate design and development of interior systems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design and release processes.

The Engineer will have end to end ownership of their components and ensuring they meet vehicle functional objectives.
Responsibilities also include:
- Component design, development, and packaging
- Collaboration with PDO and Sciences, Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing
- change management
- Bill of material maintenance
- Prototype and production build support
- Issues management
- CAD model management in Teamcenter
- Weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives
- Communicating technical product status to management
- Supporting vehicle assembly plants for any product technical issues
- Support service teams for any field warranty issues and help in root cause analysis of the failures
- The Engineer has also to work with the supplier to meet program and Electrical Development timing and deliverables.
Requirements
The Mechatronics D&R Engineer is responsible for the component and system level design, development, validation, timing and production release of the following areas:
- Roof Systems
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive components (Roof Systems).
- Mechatronics experience on: Manual Park Release, Active Damping Air Suspension, Swithches, Sensors, Lighting, Seats, Outside Rearview Mirror, Power Hatch, Liftgate, Sunroof, Power Top.
- Experience or general knowledge on: switches electrical seat controls, sensors, and electrical functions: electronic diagrams, software, testing of mechatronics components (durability, thermal).
- Experienceon commodities like infotainment, connectivity, embedded will be valuable as well.
- Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter
Knowledge:
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management.
- Electrical Module Hardware and Software development.
- DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution
Language: Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.
- Knowledge of style freeze processes and theme evaluation.
- In-plant experience (tool tryouts, assembly, program launch).
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
