8x8, Inc. a leader in the business communications services is looking for a smart and responsible Senior Java application developer for building their state of the art unified communications software. Our UC software integrates a variety of services like phone, fax, voicemail, call recordings, audio/video conferencing into one unified platform.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in designing, architecting, and developing our next generation UC products.
- Design and implement software and infrastructure to support high-availability and high-scalability of our UC services.
- Design and develop our next generation video conferencing application.
Qualifications
Required skills:
- 7+ years of application development experience
- Mac OS X development experience
- Solid demonstrated object oriented software development experience with Java
- Java NIO, networking and multithreaded programming
- In depth understanding of network and VoIP protocols including: TCP/UDP, SIP/RTP, STUN/TURN
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor degree (Master's a plus)
Desired skills (nice to have, not required):
- Experience building RESTful web services
- Familiar with following technologies, XMPP, Flash Flex/AIR, jgroups
- Server side development using Tomcat, Netty.
