Brand Motion Designer 

The Role

As a 3D / Motion Designer in the eBay OneExperience Design Team, you will help to define and drive the future state of our motion design language working across all domains experiences in collaboration with the leadership team, design leads, and working closely with our product & brand partners. Your key responsibility is helping us execute the new eBay brand DNA through storytelling and developing compelling presentation videos aligning with the Evo vision. We are looking for a Senior 3D / Motion Designer with strong technical skills and a strong understanding of social and industry trends. You will work closely with design leaders, brand, marketing, and engineering to successfully bring our new brand to life through a myriad of channels. You are a very creative visionary that can translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused solutions. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. The ideal candidate for this position will be at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract and then being able to drive that vision into solid design deliverables. 

Key Responsibilities

• Create the vision for crafting unique and compelling 3D / motion design for eBay

• Editing and storytelling skills at the highest level for internal and external projects

• Work strategically with other executives and team members across the organization

• Partner with others in the broader design community to develop and extend the experience across the array of offerings

• Inspire and mentor others on the design and global brand team

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years professional experience as a 3D / Motion designer; expertise in both motion and visual design.

• A robust portfolio encompassing multiple projects and your direct contributions to them.

• Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design or related design discipline.

• Proficient with industry standard motion design tools such as After Effects and C4D

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with character animation

• Experience with render engines like Redshift and Octane

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$108,000 - $186,900

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
