We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of software experts and architects in delivering the Blue Planet Inventory and Service Provisioning Platform. This platform supports operations in path computation, feasibility analysis, service fulfillment, provisioning and activation, and network and inventory management.
General activities:
- Lead and execute quality assurance initiatives within the telecommunications domain, ensuring alignment with client and business requirements.
- Interact with internal and external custumers to understand, define, and deliver system development needs.
- Participate in the identification, evaluation, selection, implementation, and integration of packaged applications, software libraries, toolkits, and lifecycle tools.
- Provide expertise in data and database design (SQL Server), collaborating with data owners and IT DBAs to ensure system integrity and security.
- Review and approve Blue Planet methods, design documents, development solutions, and test strategies, plans, and scripts.
- Support advanced solution design and configuration activities, driving technical excellence across projects.
- Map client business processes, identify functional gaps, and recommend options to optimize and close those gaps.
- Document workflows, operating manuals, and process documentation reflecting current practices and future optimizations.
- Monitor process mapping workstreams to ensure on-time delivery, cost reduction, and process efficiency goals.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous process improvement within an agile environment.
- Provide regular status updates, performance reports, and project scorecards to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically in OSS (Inventory) systems or COTS products such as Cramer or Granite.
- Demonstrated experience in functional and/or technical leadership roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio) and Business Process Management tools.
- Experience managing multi-dimensional process-related functions within complex technical environments.
Skills:
- Experience in OSS project implementation for telecommunications.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proactive self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively in agile teams.
- Ability to provide thought leadership, technical guidance, and drive process improvement initiatives.
