3010 Design Release Engineer Med

We are currently hiring for the position of Design Release Engineer Med. In this role, you will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, and release of various components and systems.

ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Interface with cross functional team to design and develop functional solutions that achieve design requirements

• Support by releasing engineering documents related to product design/development the Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and tests reports

• Follow timelines and drive programs to meet deliverables.

• Execute design for manufacturing process and coordinate assembly process with manufacturing engineering

• Work with team members to coordinate projects from design through production startup including prototype/pre-production builds, testing and establishment of specifications until launch and after the launch.

• Early Computer Aided Design (CAD) creation and development modeling (Catia / NX)

• Generate CAD and 2D drawings for components including GD&T (Release internal component drawings, assembly drawings and customer drawings)

• Perform product design activities according to internal and external specifications.

• Support design and verification activities including creation and edition of BOM’s, drawings, calculations, and change requests.

• 'Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA
• 3 TO 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design and automotive industry (product design or engineering)
• Knowledge in Product Lifetime through internal and external milestones.
• Experience in Mechanical Design and automotive indsutry (product design or engineering)
• Knowledge or experience of CAN/LIN bus and circuit analysis
• Understanding of Bluetooth, WiFi protocols, USB
• CAD systems experience or knowledge (NX/ Teamcenter & Catia),
• Automotive Interior Product Design components/systems design/development/releasing experience
• Knowledge or experience with GD&T, Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of vehicle system architecture
• CAE/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) knowledge
• Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
• CATIA V5 knowledge is a plus
• Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, Projection Technologies knowledge are a plus
• Knowledge of Casting and Injection Molding processes is a plus
• High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Valid driver’s license is preferable as well as a clean driving record
