Two-Wheeler & Powersports

The Two-Wheeler & Powersports department is unique within Bosch as the headquarter is located in Yokohama, Japan.

This includes the Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) with well-known functions from passenger cars such as Advanced Cruise Control (ACC) and Blindspot Detection (BSD), as well as exciting new functions that we are developing specifically for motorcycles.

This position is within the radar software engineering group working with the newest radar generation of Advanced Rider Assistance Systems.

Our team takes care of the platform development as well as customer specific development world-wide for all OEMs. We do not only take care of the software development, but we also test our functions on the vehicle ourselves whenever possible.

Job Description

We are seeking motivated candidates to join our team in the development of Advanced Rider Assistance Systems for motorcycles. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, taking ownership of their responsibilities and driving topics forward with accountability. They excel both independently and in a collaborative, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Engage in systems engineering and radar function software development for both platform and customer projects, including on-vehicle evaluations. Design and develop innovative new features, enhance existing functionalities, and successfully deliver agreed work packages to our customers.
Work closely with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure successful project execution and optimal system performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Experience in automotive function development, particularly with environmental sensors and/or ESP/ABS.
  • Knowledge of control theory, physics and vehicle motion.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Valid motorcycle license.
  • Experience in systems engineering (preferred).
  • Experience in requirements engineering (preferred).
