Senior Game Artist (Animation) - Hole.io

Role:

We are seeking a skilled Game Artist with expertise in 2D/3D Animation & VFX to revitalise Hole.io. You must be passionate about motion, and able to create compelling sequences, gameplay and UI animations as well as top-tier VFX. You understand how motion enhances a game's quality, and can fine-tune your work across a product to achieve the perfect holistic feel. Working closely with the Art Director, you will ensure your work aligns with the overall vision and enhances new gameplay mechanics and features. You will have autonomy and ownership over your tasks, proactively solving problems and collaborating with developers and artists to implement and enhance your work within the project.

• Create animatics and mock-up’s to communicate your ideas.
• Take ownership over the runtime optimisation of all your work.
• Advocate and strive for top tier VFX and in game animation.
• Maintain a strong sense of graphic design and readability in all your work.
• Work closely with the Art Director to refine and develop the game's tone and feel. 
• Collaborate with the game team to ensure assets meet technical and artistic requirements. 
• Ensure assets are delivered on time and to specifications. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest motion trends, technologies and tools.

Profile

• Highly skilled in Animation: Character, UI, VFX, Motion design.
• Expert Unity knowledge
• Ability to handle basic 3D/2D file editing and creation (Proficiency in Blender is a plus).
• Experience working on mobile game projects, at all stages of development. 
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English. 
• A portfolio demonstrating strong animation and VFX skills, specifically for mobile games, is essential. 

Nice to Have

• Experience with stylized or low-poly art styles is a plus.
