ARSIEM is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This position will support one of our government clients in Ft. Meade, MD.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytics using Java MapReduce and Python in the Linux (Red Hat version 7+) environment.
- Develop prototypes, answering new questions, as well as providing better answers to existing questions.
- Develop analytics for survey and intelligence value assessments.
- Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated, fast-paced environment using leading technologies.
- Provide software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- For individuals with in-depth experience clearly related to the position, an associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Computer Science (CS) degree or related field
- Experience with Java MapReduce, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop Hive, Pig, Etc.
- Experience with distributed, scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
- Experience with serialization, such as JSON and/or BSON; developing RESTful services; and using source code management tools.
- Experience developing a software solution using Python
Preferred Qualifications
- Tech/Team leadership
- Atlassian Jira & Confluence
- SIGINT Analysis
- Experience with Gitlab & Maven
- Kanban Agile process experience
Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Candidate Referral: Do you know someone who would be GREAT at this role?
