ARSIEM is looking for a Cyber Range Software Engineer. This position will support one of our government clients in Laurel, MD.

Responsibilities

• Support Cyber Security Defensive Operations with the configuration of a Cyber Range consisting of 100s to 1000s of VMs utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Ansible, VMWare, and other automation technologies 
• Work closely with Hunt, Red and Blue Team operators to understand their desired configurations for the Cyber Security Range to support training, force-on-force exercises, and mimicking of customer infrastructures
• Work with a team of other Software Engineers, System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Systems Engineers to support the Cyber Range and develop innovative solutions to complex problems
• Join a large development team supporting the Cyber Security Directorate's Defensive Network Operations organization with direct mission support activities when not working on the Cyber Range

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience 
• An Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position​​
• Computer Science (CS) degree or related field
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Batch, and Python
• Experience with networking and virtualization
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with cybersecurity tools, network configurations, and operational tools
• Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, application behaviors, and network traffic analysis
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and working with flexible customer requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating in an agile development environment and DevOps
• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Knowledge of penetration testing or red team operations
• Experience utilizing and developing with Splunk
• Experience with Nutanix
• Defensive Cyber Security Operations ​

Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
