Provide operational support for facility projects, including the installation of new equipment and the maintenance of instrumentation and electrical systems. Ensure asset reliability while promoting safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Identify current and future instrumentation and control system requirements by partnering with management, engineering, production personnel, technicians, and other key stakeholders to understand operational objectives and control system needs.
- Directs and supervises contractors as needed to complete complex maintenance and project tasks requiring additional manpower while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Assist in training employees in the maintenance, construction, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, analyzers, and electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Ensure equipment is operating properly by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of controls equipment.
- Identify and support asset improvement to improve safety, reliability, efficiency or overall performance of facilities.
- Supports and maintains Electronic, Mechanical, and Pneumatic instrumentation of various types and manufacturers.
- Work alongside and support Operations and Maintenance departments as needed.
- Develop a working knowledge of all electrical equipment utilized in our facilities.
- Working knowledge of Gas Dew Point analysis.
- Calibrations of pressure, temperature, and level transmitter and switches.
- DCS/PLC Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
- Utilize trends to diagnose/troubleshoot operational issues.
- Ability to be on-call at times and respond to facility upsets and equipment failures for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Knowledge and ability to install small bore piping components including SS tubing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:
- Five (5) years minimum experience required in oil and gas plant and field instrumentation maintenance.
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a degree in Instrumentation, Process Control, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Skills Required
- Minimum five (5) years experience in oil and gas plant and field instrumentation maintenance.
- DCS/PLC maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
