Multi-skilled professional responsible for ensuring fair and accurate gas measurement across high- and low-pressure pipeline gathering systems and plant facilities. Maintains Lost & Unaccounted (L&U) gas records and leverages L&U data as a diagnostic tool to support system performance. Applies comprehensive knowledge of oil and gas handling facilities and associated equipment to evaluate and improve measurement accuracy, while fostering strong customer relationships and operational alignment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Independently perform installation, programming, calibration, and maintenance of Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) equipment
- Performs instrument calibrations with a high degree of accuracy and precision in accordance with established procedures.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the sources of measurement uncertainty, including meter selection, installation practices, operational performance, data processing, and proper maintenance of metering equipment.
- Calculate gas volumes and flow rates; select and install appropriately sized orifice plates
- Operate, inspect, and maintain meter tubes to ensure consistent and accurate measurement
- Maintain gas sampling systems (including composite samplers); collect and deliver samples in accordance with established procedures
- Utilize PC software (Excel, Word, ROCLink) for data analysis, reporting, and device communication
- Assist with the installation and calibration of gas chromatographs and BTU analyzers
- Support custody transfer meter witnessing and assist with liquid meter proving activities
- Troubleshoot basic issues with telemetry communication hardware and systems
- Build collaborative relationships with producers and internal stakeholders
- Review daily volume reports to identify potential plant balance issues and initiate basic investigations

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in natural gas measurement, including field equipment maintenance
- Working knowledge of gas gathering systems (high and low pressure) and related measurement equipment
- Proficiency in installation, programming, and calibration of EFM flow computers and gas chromatographs
- Knowledge of and practical experience with industry standards for gas metrology from American Petroleum Institute (API), American Gas Association (AGA), GPA Midstream Association and related organizations.
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals and apply learnings to real-world troubleshooting
- Competent in using Microsoft Excel to track data and support reporting tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of validating gas measurement data for accuracy and submitting it to appropriate teams
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing field conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Valid driver’s license.
