255-17 System Analyst

This role will perform system administrator assignments, including but not limited to installing systems and application components and configuring them on Windows and Linux environments. This role will also be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, researching and presenting options, analyzing and recommending solutions for both ongoing application changes and new efforts. Ensuring application and infrastructure security following Federal, State, and industry standards is also an essential trait in this role. This position requires heavy collaboration with vendors, customers, and other technical areas to understand and execute projects and changes promptly.

This position is expected to be proficient and knowledgeable with the following tools and technologies: Windows Server administration (2016 and later), RHEL 7.0 and above, Cloud Infrastructure Azure/AWS/GCP, Tomcat, IIS, MS SQL Management Studio, Dynatrace/ Similar debug tools, XML, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Visio, SSO (SAML, OAuth, OpenID), Network knowledge of LAN/WAN, Architecture, Firewalls, IOT, etc.

This position will maintain various COTS applications and help configure changes as required for some SAAS products. To serve in this capacity, this position should have thorough analytical skills and extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, monitoring, networks, firewalls, architecture, including diagraming, remediating vulnerabilities, and other application and server support duties.

• Experience (3–5 years) in installing and configuring systems and applications across Windows and Linux (RHEL 7.0+) environments.

• Proficiency with Windows Server Administration (2016+), Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP), and web servers such as Tomcat and IIS.
• Skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell, and experienced with MS SQL Management Studio and XML.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and diagnostic tools like Dynatrace, with the ability to analyze and resolve performance and application issues.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and IOT, as well as SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID).
• Demonstrated ability to gather and document requirements, evaluate technical options, and recommend effective solutions for both new projects and system enhancements.
