What You’ll Do:
Navitas is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) by playing a lead role in the design, development, and maintenance of two mission-critical applications undergoing full-scale redevelopment. This individual will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, scalable, and resilient solutions using modern software engineering best practices and tools.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Lead the design and implementation of modern, event-driven architectures using Spring Boot and microservices.
Develop and maintain high-performance APIs and backend services with robust logging, monitoring, and exception handling.
Build and manage scalable front-end user interfaces using React.js, ensuring performance and usability.
Develop and deploy containerized applications to Kubernetes clusters with CI/CD pipelines.
Integrate messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka for asynchronous communication and system decoupling.
Implement advanced search functionalities and analytics using Elasticsearch.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, DevOps engineers, testers, and product owners to deliver high-impact features.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Ensure adherence to security, performance, and compliance standards in all development efforts.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong backend and frontend development background.
Proficiency in Spring Boot, Java, React, and microservices architecture.
Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Working knowledge of Elasticsearch and its integration in scalable search solutions.
Strong understanding of event-driven systems, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Set Yourself Apart With:
Experience working with government agencies or in highly regulated environments.
Prior experience rewriting legacy systems into modern architectures.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with security best practices, especially in public sector environments.
