The Engineering Manager leads the engineering organization supporting midstream assets including gathering systems, pipelines and terminals. The role ensures that engineering work meets safety, regulatory, technical, and operational standards while supporting capital projects, operations, maintenance, and optimization initiatives.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering team and manage staffing, performance, and development.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and engineering excellence.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive engineering consistency, competency, and use of best practices.
- Engineering Oversight and Technical Assurance
- Serve as technical authority across regional midstream assets.
- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and technical deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, API, DOT, PHMSA, NFPA, etc. regulations.
- Oversee Management of Change (MOC) process and perform troubleshooting / root-cause analysis.
- Capital Project Support
- Collaborate with Business Development, Regional Leadership, Engineering and Operations on scope, estimates, and execution plans.
- Oversee engineering through FEL, detail design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Safety, Risk Management, & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead/ participate in HAZOPs, PHAs, and design reviews
- Ensure engineering deliverables are compliant with pipeline safety, environmental, and state/ federal regulations.
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Operations and Reliability Support
- Support Operations with troubleshooting, system optimization, and reliability improvements.
- Provide engineering guidance for operational challenges and equipment issues.
- Recommend improvements to throughput, efficiency and uptime.
- Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement
- Develop long-term engineering strategies aligned with asset development
- Standardize engineering practices, processes, and technical requirements
- Identify cost saving and efficiency opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of midstream engineering experience
- 3+ years in leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.8, API Standards, PSM, and PHMSA regulations.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in pipeline integrity, compression design, and/or processing facilities.
- Experience with greenfield and brownfield projects.
Education Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited University
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- PE License - Preferred
