Role Summary:
We are looking for various 24x7 NOC Engineers to join our Operations Centre. You’ll be the first point of technical response for infrastructure alerts, incidents, and service requests, helping to keep customer-facing services stable and well-supported.
You will monitor infrastructure alerts, respond within SLA, perform initial troubleshooting and incident triage, own tickets through to resolution, and escalate clearly to engineering, field operations, Smart Hands providers or vendors when required.
This role is suited to someone with experience in a NOC, data-centre operations, infrastructure support, managed services, field engineering or technical operations environment who is comfortable working independently on a 24x7 shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- 24x7 support of Era4's GPU infrastructure.
- Monitor network, power, environmental, server, GPU and alarms; respond within SLA.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and incident triage; escalate to engineering, field ops, or vendors as needed.
- Create, own, and progress tickets through resolution with accurate documentation.
- Coordinate site access, dispatch requests, and maintenance windows with Smart Hands/field engineering providers.
- Manage shift handovers, monitor shared inboxes/comms channels, and keep knowledge articles current.
- Support outage management and root cause analysis; feed into continuous improvement.
- Escalate customer-facing incidents in line with SLA schedules and criticality matrix.
- Maintain physical security and safety procedures during any hands-on/rack-level tasks.
Essential Experience
- Comfortable working in a 24x7 shift-based operations environment.
- Previous experience in a NOC, infrastructure support, managed services, or technical support environment.
- Exposure to datacentre infrastructure support (Network, Compute, Storage, GPU, Software)
- Experience using an ITSM/ticketing tool such as HaloITSM, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, FreshService or similar.
- Familiarity with data centre hardware troubleshooting (racking, cabling, power/cooling basics).
- Linux systems administration knowledge.
One or more desirable:
- Experience / Interest in AI infrastructure, data centres, HPC or GPU environments.
- Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Datadog, CloudWatch or similar.
- Basic Bash or Python scripting.
- ITIL awareness a plus, given the wider service delivery framework
- Experience in cloud, hosting, data centre, MSP, or infrastructure operations.

- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing/switching basics
- Experience reading monitoring dashboards or alerts
- Strong written and verbal communication, especially during incidents
- Good judgement on when to resolve, when to escalate and what information to capture
- Experience or interest in AI infrastructure, data centres, HPC or GPU environments
- Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Datadog, CloudWatch or similar monitoring tools
- Basic Bash or Python scripting
- ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Network+, Linux+ or similar certifications
- Experience in cloud, hosting, data centre, MSP, or infrastructure operations
