Job Objective:
Performs FERC and state financial reporting along with pipeline accounting for regulated and non-regulated Midstream assets.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual FERC and state financial reports.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the accuracy of reported financial statements.
- Analyze financial statements and provide reporting explanations for variances and fluctuations.
- Perform monthly account reconciliation and resolve outstanding reconciling discrepancies.
- Process month end journal entries.
- Perform data calculations to accurately determine the amount for accruals.
- Assist with preparation of required audit documentations.
- Assist with the implementation and transition of new financial software, updates, or enhancements.
- Improve existing processes already in place and develop new ones as needed.
- Support company’s vision and mission.
- Adhere to established work schedule and attendance standards.

- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Qualifications:
- Five (5) years minimum of reporting and accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry preferred.
- Excellent understanding of transactional accounting and the eventual flow of that information to financial reporting with the ability to explain the process and communicate with peers and management.
- Proficiency in data management including spreadsheet proficiency.
- Ability to solve problems accurately.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Preferred: Strong working knowledge of SAP, OneStream, FERC XBRL
Education Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a concentration in accounting.
