The Supply Chain Buyer ADP is “hosted” by the Global Supply Chain Organizational Development Department, and employees will work out of our Statesville, North Carolina site and will begin the program either January or July 2027.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Supply Chain Leadership Teams with:

  • Assume daily production activity is processed timely and accurately
  • Analyze label requirements and take necessary action to ensure labels coordinate with batch shipment
  • Act as a resource for questions regarding purchase orders
  • Reviewing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) daily for unusual production to determine inventory levels
  • Assist with production scheduling master scheduling and product planning
  • Developing an understanding of metrics; including:
    • Service goals
    • Order completeness
    • Plant line service and gallon availability
    • Perfect order index, and cost per program
  • Understand supply chain, business management, and purchasing systems
  • Understanding of the operations within a paint plant or distribution service center 
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements  

  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations or Supply Chain by the start of this development program.
  • Be willing to relocate, as required, upon completion of the Accelerated Development Program 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age  
  • Must be legally authorized to work in a country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.  
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Outlook).  

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Have previous internship/co-op experience within Sherwin-Williams.  
  • Have previous internship, co-op or work experience in a related field.  
  • Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting, including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.  
  • Have experience with QAD, Oracle, or SAP
