Piper Sandler is currently seeking an undergraduate intern for Summer 2027 to support the Public Finance division in our Minneapolis, MN office. Our public finance group provides underwriting and financial advisory services to state & local governments and not-for-profit entities. Supported by a broad national platform, our expert teams leverage localized knowledge to facilitate the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt debt across a range of sectors including state & local government, charter schools, cultural & social service nonprofits, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, project finance, K-12 school districts, senior living, and transportation. Responsibilities:
Work within, create, and update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Use certain industry-standard software to calculate debt schedules, sources & uses etc.
Occasionally attend meetings with senior staff; prepare deliverables to support those meetings
Assist Public Finance team with projects and assignments
Requirements:
Excellent oral, written communication, research, and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical ability with proven interest in financial markets
Detail oriented
Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel. Knowledge of Tableau is a plus but not required
This internship opportunity is open to undergraduate students who graduate in December 2027 or Spring 2028.

The anticipated pay rate for individuals expressing interest in this position is $21 per hour.
