Deadline to apply: Friday, October 23, 2026
The ACLU of Georgia welcomes legal externs for the Spring 2027 semester. Legal Externs must be in law school and will be expected to commit approximately 20 hours per week to the externship.
Legal Externs will be expected to perform legal research, draft legal memoranda, and potentially legal briefs and other documents, and be otherwise available to support the ACLU of Georgia’s litigation activities. The externship is designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in public interest litigation.
Applicants should have strong research, writing, and communication skills and a demonstrated interest in civil liberties and civil rights.
All applicants must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting your interest in this externship.
The ACLU of Georgia operates in a hybrid work environment. Interns are expected to work in person at the Atlanta office on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays each week. Remote work is permitted on other days, provided job responsibilities are met.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Rackaya Haughton, [email protected].
