Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Test Engineer for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Huntsville, AL.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDSD).
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027.
- Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science or Softawre Engineering.
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
- Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
- Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher
Responsibilities may include:
Interns are responsible for delivering a potentially useful version of products or demonstrable integrated functionality at the end of each Sprint. They are cross-functional, typically 10 or less members that include all skills necessary to complete development of their product features. The team may consist of technical experts, designers, personnel from areas of support (e.g., systems engineering, specialty engineering, user experience, etc.) anyone else needed to complete each product backlog item. They have the authority to execute “the How” of each Story while adhering to existing standards, processes, policies, and guidelines to reach the Sprint goal.
Intern Pay Range for Huntsville, AL:
- Bachelor’s: $25.50- $32.00 per hour
- Master’s: $36.25- $39.00 per hour
