INTERNSHIP FORMAT:
This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns will be based at a Stellantis manufacturing facility in the Metro Detroit area. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2027.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS:
Human Resources interns at our manufacturing facility are immersed in real-world roles that provide hands-on exposure to all levels of our dynamic HR team. As part of their journey, interns rotate through key functional areas of manufacturing HR—gaining insight into labor relations, staffing, compliance, and employee engagement. Additional information on key areas and responsibilities are included below. All of this takes place in the heart of production, where we proudly build world-class Stellantis vehicles, including legendary brands like Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram. It’s more than an internship—it’s a front-row seat to the people side of automotive excellence.
Labor relations in a plant manage the relationship between management and unionized employees, focusing on resolving workplace disputes and ensuring compliance with labor laws and union agreements to maintain a productive and cooperative work environment.
Employment HR Generalists in a plant support hiring, onboarding and leave processes, ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, assist with employee support, and help maintain a positive and productive workplace culture.
Preferred QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial or Employee Relations, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Willingness to work in the Metro Detroit area for the duration of the internship.
- Completion of freshman year or higher at an accredited university by Spring 2027.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing and able to work in a plant environment.
