Northrop Grumman Global Supply Chain is seeking Global Supply Chain Specialists for an internship opportunity. This position will be full-time for 10 weeks as a remote position within our corporate team. As a Global Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible and accountable for supporting GSC statement of work within areas such as Supplier Administration, Supplier Quality, or Compliance.
As an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of specializations that may include:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Compile, cleanse, and normalize data from various ERP systems including purchase orders, subcontracts, corporate agreements, and finance systems for indirect purchases.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to confirm that specifications and requirements for products and services are clear and accurate.
- Support efforts to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and risk mitigation in supplier selections and negotiations.
- Learn and follow applicable company procedures and public law requirements, including basic awareness of import/export and compliance guidelines.
- Complete a defined end of internship project and present results and recommendations to Global Supply Chain leadership at the conclusion of the program.
- May be assigned to a specific functional team within Global Supply Chain (e.g., Technology & Data, Compliance, Supplier Performance & Relationship Management, or Small Business Supplier Management). Will support assigned team’s day-to-day activities and projects.
- Collaborate with other interns and cross‑functional partners on team projects or improvement initiatives as assigned. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other developers.
Basic Qualifications
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027.
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
- Be majoring in or having majored in degree such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Business Management or related field.
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Have U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Write clear emails and speak professionally with supervisors, team members, and suppliers
- Track multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and break large projects into smaller steps.
- Be detailed oriented and self-starter in a remote environment
- Adjust quickly to changing priorities, accept constructive feedback, and learn from mistakes.
- Able to collaborate with cross functional groups and build positive workplace relationships
- Exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP or Oracle to track inventory, orders, and general ledger flows. Familiarity with SAP, CAGE, SAM.GOV systems
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau, and basic SQL for pulling datasets.
- Familiarity with how to produce PO status and reporting and/or SharePoint administration
Intern Pay Range:
Bachelor’s: $23.50 to $28.75 per hour
Master’s: $33.75 to $335.50 per hour
