Program Overview & what you'll gain:
The Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) Internship Program is a 10-week summer experience designed to introduce students to one of Wells Fargo's most dynamic businesses. The program begins with a structured orientation, followed by hands-on assignments and development opportunities that provide broad exposure to cross-functional teams across Banking, Lending, and Business Services.
Throughout the program, you'll have the opportunity to join a team with a focus on Product, Data Analytics, Strategy, or Risk Governance, building practical experience while contributing to meaningful work across the business. Interns also benefit from mentorship, targeted professional development, and direct engagement with leaders. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time opportunities upon successful completion of the program. #earlycareers
In this role, you will
- Receive formal onboarding and ongoing training to broaden professional and technical skills and business acumen across CBL
- Analyze data, extract insights, and present recommendations to team members and senior leaders
- Contribute to customer-focused projects that streamline processes and identify best practices across multiple business areas
- Gain exposure to strategy, planning, and project management with cross-functional teams
- Participate in an ongoing capstone project focused on solving a real business challenge, culminating in a presentation of recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build your professional network through cohort activities, collaboration with teammates, and engagement with managers and business leaders
- 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 - June 2028
- BA/BS degree candidate with a concentration in: Business, Economics, Data Science, Quantitative Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Management Information Systems, Statistics (All majors welcome to apply)
- Demonstrated critical thinking and data analysis skills with a proven ability to quickly learn, adapt to change, and contribute to innovative initiatives.
- Ability to execute with urgency, support business reporting, and contribute to operational excellence with an enterprise mindset.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively and contribute to inclusive, feedback-driven team environments.
- Ability to apply business and financial concepts to support decision-making and deliver excellent service through coursework, internships, or problem-solving experiences.
- Ability to act with integrity, effectively manage risk, and apply appropriate risk controls.
- Familiarity with AI tools and applying AI to coursework (e.g., Copilot, NotebookLM or similar)
- Proficiency in any of these tools: Power Bi, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, SQL, and/or other analytics tools
