Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Cyber Systems Engineer/Cyber System Engineer. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems sector in Rancho Bernardo, CA, and additional locations may include: Palmdale, CA | Redondo Beach, CA | El Segundo, CA
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Systems Engineering Organization.
The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Other duties include:
Support Development and Sustainment programs by helping to identify cybersecurity risks and assisting in the design, development, integration, test, and verification of system security solutions.
Support the identification of cybersecurity risks, work with stakeholders to help develop a technical and programmatic plan for remediation, and assist in driving the incorporation of cybersecurity improvements into the system.
Engage with customer counterparts and other stakeholders, under the guidance of senior engineers, to support improvements to the weapon system’s cybersecurity posture.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Cyber Systems Engineer (T01) or Cyber Systems Engineer (T02)
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Cyber Systems Engineer (T01)

Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Technical planning, system design and development, verification and validation, cost and risk, and requirements management
Preparing and presenting system engineering materials during technical or program reviews.
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve complex problems and implement constructive change.
Developing and reviewing requirements and conducting requirements management, including verification and validation
Developing or updating Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models.
Pay Range
Associate Cyber Systems Engineer: $83,800.00 - $125,800.00
Cyber Systems Engineer: $101,000.00 - $151,400.00
