The Critical Communication Networks products organization is focused on designing and delivering communications solutions that empower businesses to work more efficiently, effectively & safely. With the power of streamlined and reliable communications, employees can focus on the task at hand while security teams can be informed quickly to respond to incidents faster. Millions of customers depend every day on the devices, software & networks we create that help to drive the communications at their school, manufacturing plant, hotel or distribution center.
The PCR Dispatch Product Management team sits within our larger products & engineering organization and drives the overarching product & business strategy for our Avtec dispatch products portfolio. This portfolio comprises dispatch software, hardware peripherals, & wide array of service offerings for both enterprise & public safety customers around the world.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Management Intern for our Summer 2026 program to contribute to the strategic growth of our Avtec dispatch products portfolio. The intern will work closely with Product Managers to gain hands-on experience in the product development process, support lifecycle and contribute to key strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and trends.

  • Assisting in the documentation and organization of product requirements and feature specifications.

  • Supporting the team in managing the product backlog and preparing for sprint planning meetings.

  • Collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing product usage data to support data driven decision making.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, and sales) to support the alignment on product requirements and execution priorities.

Preferred Experience

  • RF/Telecommunications: Interest in wireless communication concepts and an eagerness to learn about mobile radio and communication systems.

  • Software: Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., Agile/Scrum) and common application types (web, desktop, or mobile).

  • Hardware: Basic awareness of hardware design cycles and system integration concepts.

  • Networking: Foundational knowledge of IP networking and network protocols.

  • Industry: Interest in the enterprise or public safety dispatch industry. Technical knowledge of public cloud, broadband infrastructure, radio standards, or telephony products are a plus.

  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree

  • Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
