TriState Capital Bank is seeking a motivated and dynamic intern who is ready to apply knowledge of financial terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience. This internship will offer broad exposure to the bank’s data landscape and how it is utilized across various business lines, including Deposits, Lending, Capital Markets, and Finance. Interns will gain insight into our Data Governance and Data Quality Programs, as well as our Data Management Practices.
Primary Functions of the Position:- Complete trainings and demonstrate the ability to develop reporting and dashboards using various tools (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, CRM Analytics, SQL, etc.)
- Complete a personal project in SQL to analyze data and apply an advanced technique to one of our existing processes at the Bank
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently on data analytics and reporting requests, from requirements gathering to presentation and delivery
- Promote the adoption of the Data Governance program by understanding its importance and supporting its implementation
- Assist with data quality analysis and reporting enhancements
- Support improvements to data-driven processes across business lines
- Analyze data and prepare financial reports
- Learn about diverse financial activities and operations
- Effectively communicate in one on one, small group and large group settings. Possible examples include business meetings, sales calls, training sessions, email communication, and conference calls.
- Improve the quality of decision making by doing appropriate and thorough analysis.
- Shadowing and training opportunities with our experienced team of banking professionals
- 1 on 1 mentoring and professional development
- Gain a baseline understanding of the roles and responsibilities of various business lines and how each contributes to the Bank’s overall success
- Dedicate time to training and complete a personal project that applies an advanced technique to a problem already solved within the business, culminating in a presentation to the team and the business process owner

- High School Diploma
- Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor’s in: Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field
- Pursuing Master’s in: Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management and staff.
- Proficient expertise with Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Highly motivated and organized with a desire to learn.
