Technology Associate 
Next Generation Talent Program (June 2026 Start) 

To support Canadian Tire’s long-term technology talent strategy, the Next Generation Talent (NGT) Program is a rotational program designed for new graduates. Through three progressive rotations, Technology Associates gain hands-on experience across a variety of roles, technologies, and delivery teams, accelerating their growth into well-rounded technology professionals. 

What You’ll Do 

As a Technology Associate in Canadian Tire’s Next Generation Talent Program, you’ll build broad technical expertise and a strong foundation in core technology principles. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to apply agile methodologies, leverage emerging technologies, and support business processes that drive meaningful digital innovation. 

Throughout the program, you’ll contribute to initiatives that help teams work smarter and improve how we serve and connect with our customers. This program is designed to place you at the forefront of digital evolution in retail while preparing you for long-term career growth within Canadian Tire’s technology organization. 

 

Technology rotations: 

All rotations fall within the IT function, with opportunities to gain experience and exposure in areas such as: 

  • Digital, eCommerce, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Banking, and other Business Platforms
  • AI & Technology Platforms including Cloud Computing, Automation and Data Technology 
  • Development and Quality Engineering 
  • Automation & Machine Learning 
  • Cyber Security 
  • Technology Governance 

 

Who You Are: 

We’re looking for students who have graduated in Fall 2025 or expect to graduate by Spring 2026 and are excited to start full-time in June 2026. You are someone who is: 

  • Innovative, curious, and proactive, with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment 
  • Passionate about technology and motivated to accelerate your career in IT 
  • Excited and energized about AI and its potential to transform how we work and the technology solutions we create 
  • A strong problem solver who can analyze information, multitask, and prioritize effectively 
  • Comfortable working in agile environments with change, ambiguity, and multiple stakeholders 
  • A strategic thinker who can balance big-picture thinking with execution 
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication and influencing skills 

 

What You’ve Done: 

  • You are completing or have completed an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Computer Systems Technology, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Candidates from nontechnical programs are also encouraged to apply if they have a demonstrated interest in AI, technology, or digital innovation and are eager to build technical knowledge. 
  • You bring a demonstrated interest in digital and emerging technologies such as AI and are comfortable working in data-driven or analytical environments.

Our typical hiring range is between $53,000 and $88,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
