2026 - Data Engineering Intern, NYC

We’re seeking curious minds like yours to collaborate with full-time engineers on our Data Engineering teams and gain hands-on experience building the foundation of MongoDB’s data-driven culture. Data Engineering interns work alongside the Data Pipeline and Data Platform Engineering teams to design and maintain reliable data pipelines, strengthen data accessibility for decision-making, and contribute to the infrastructure that powers MongoDB’s data platform. Over the summer, interns make production-level contributions that directly support our internal teams, external customers, and developer community.

We have two teams that we are hiring for within our Data Engineering department:

Data Pipeline Engineering: Our team is responsible for building and maintaining reliable data pipelines with a strong understanding of sources and use cases. We empower teams to access and understand data for decision-making, with resources and training to democratize data and enable a data-driven culture.

Data Platform & Infrastructure Engineering: Our team is responsible for building and maintaining core data platform services and related infrastructure that help MongoDB teams deploy their applications seamlessly with well-defined standards to build a truly self-service data-driven platform.

• In the process of receiving a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Have a foundation in computer science theory, with proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a comparable object-oriented programming language.
• Have a minimum of one quarter/semester remaining in university studies after the internship concludes. Graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. 
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. Company sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates applying for certain roles.

MongoDB internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks lasting from dates in June until August. All interns are considered hybrid employees, designated the "in office" working model and are expected to be in their office location 3-5 days a week.
