Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to gain hands-on experience in the financial sector? This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Sustainability Reporting team at RBC, helping with the preparation of RBC’s Sustainability Report and implementation of sustainability reporting standards and regulations impacting the organization. This internship will provide valuable exposure to sustainability reporting frameworks, regulatory requirements, and the role of sustainability in the financial sector.

What will you do:
Research and monitor developments in sustainability reporting standards and regulations (e.g., ISSB, CSSB, CSRD) to promote readiness with evolving guidelines
Help perform gap analysis against sustainability disclosure requirements to inform compliance assessments
Help perform benchmarking of peer sustainability disclosures to inform future reporting strategies
Help roll-forward the sustainability report using our reporting tool to prepare for the 2026 reporting cycle
Assist in organizing and maintaining documentation of reporting processes and controls
Assist in the preparation of sustainability-related materials for senior leadership forums
Partner with internal stakeholders to contribute to initiatives and reports across the organization
Help configure RBC’s sustainability reporting tool to best suit reporting needs
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Working towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or other related field
Strong personal skills and ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
Nice-to-have
Knowledge and understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, ISSB, OSFI B-15, CSRD, etc.)
Previous experience working with a Financial Institution

Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
