Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Software Integration and Test Engineers. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector site in Redondo Beach, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Command & Control Weapon Systems Division, supporting the FAAD program.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintain processes and procedures for the assembly and test of spacecraft, aircraft and/or related equipment.
Coordinate integration activities with supervisors, program engineers and various customer organizations.
Document and disposition hardware discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions.
Design and developing tooling to aid in the integration and test process.
Become expert in the operation of the FAAD System
Become expert in connecting the FAAD System to various sensors, weapons, and Army tactical interfaces
Develop and execute System Test Threads on the FAAD software application
Clearly explain and document (verbally and in writing) problems and improvements in the FAAD System
Explain and execute software test procedures for NG mission assurance and government test witnessing
Prepare technical presentations for management and the government customer
Support the integration and test of the FAAD system with other systems at various tests around the world
Analyze interface and functionality problems
Work with the software team to correct or improve capabilities
Verify successful integration of the FAAD System with interfacing systems
Travel 10-25% of the time may be required
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Current DoD Secret clearance
Experience with public speaking in order to present test material directly to customers
Salary Range: $ 63,000 - $ 94,600
