Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Proposal Analyst / Proposal Analyst serving as a Systems & Processes Application Development Lead. This position will be remote and part of our Aeronautics Systems Sector.

The qualified candidate will become part of Business Management Technologies Systems and Processes team. The NGAS Business Management Technologies Systems and Processes team provides application solutions for NGAS Acquisition and Business Management teams by assisting with application, process, and user support. In this role, you will combine traditional proposal and business management analyst responsibilities with leadership of application development and enhancement activities that support proposal and business management processes.

Roles and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work with guidance in a fast-paced environment.

  • Learning and applying business applications that support acquisition, proposals, pricing, contracts and business management

  • Serving as a liaison between business users and technical teams through supporting application-related projects, including deployment, process improvements, data integrity, metric tracking, and basic project management (plans, milestones, risks/issues, gathering user feedback, lessons learned) in an Agile environment.

  • Providing application and process support, including troubleshooting issues, coordinating resolutions, and communicating releases, updates, and best practices.

  • Documenting and maintaining process flows, standard work, and application usage guidelines to support consistent tool adoption.

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Proposal Analyst (A01)

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026. 

  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related degree.

  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).  Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Basic Qualifications for a Proposal Analyst (A02)

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026 from an accredited institution and 2 years of Proposal Analyst experience.

  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related degree.

  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).  Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher

  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

  • Familiarity with core project management concepts (scope, schedule, risk, stakeholder management) and introductory exposure to Agile practices (e.g., Scrum events, backlogs, user stories).

  • Coursework, internship, or early professional experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on process improvements, tool updates, or systems/application changes.

  • Ability to assist in documenting business needs into clear notes, requirements, or user stories under guidance from more senior team members and communicate changes and best practices to non-technical users.

  • Experience using full Microsoft Office, including intermediate skills in Excel Word, PowerPoint, and tools used to create training materials or desktop instructions.

  • Basic understanding of business applications and tools used in proposals, pricing, business management, or contract management; with some hands-on exposure preferred.

Pay Range

  • Associate Proposal Analyst: $57,300 - $85,900

  • Proposal Analyst: $69,000 - $103,400
