Your Responsibilities
As an Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:
- Develop and support high-quality software solutions for user-facing mobile/desktop responsive landing pages, websites and application features;
- Contribute to and maintain roadmaps, engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives and hackathons;
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects and cross-functional teams to define product requirements and system design;
- Provide and discuss innovative technical solutions with designers and other stakeholders;
- Advocate for a culture of software craftsmanship best practices, including test automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment;
- Work with individuals on team to create and follow established coding standards, workflow or tool standards;
- Lead junior engineers in the team and collaborate to provide innovative solution with the senior members of the team;
- Incorporate customer feedback to ensure technical solutions are produced to meet their needs.
- 5-10% domestic travel required. Can live anywhere in the U.S. This is a 100% remote position.
What Skills You Need
- 5 years of experience in design and implement Rest APIs using microservice architectures with Java, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, bootstrap
- 5 years of experience in enforce code quality via Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Deployment, and Build Pipeline Automation
- 5 years of experience in build applications in Amazon Web Services
- 5 years of experience in Continuous Integration/Delivery Tools including Jenkins, Drone
- 5 years of experience in develop core technology through the design of new solutions and refinement of existing code using agile methodology
- 5 years of experience in manage telematics master data of a large, international vehicle fleet including firmware upgrades, parameter management, and configuration management
- 5 years of experience in write design specifications, programming specifications and documentation; gather and analyze business and functional requirements and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable and supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related field plus 6 years related experience.
