Job Description

Why intern with Virtus?

Virtus Summer Internship Program is an opportunity for top students to gain relevant work experience in various aspects of the investment management industry. Our program offers interns challenging and meaningful work and the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge acquired through college courses. Also, interns will be evaluated and considered for future employment opportunities within our company. Our internship is designed for students to accomplish the following:

• Assume challenging project assignments to support the growth of the business
• Establish important relationships with experienced professionals
• Gain exposure to senior leaders in the organization
• Learn about the investment management business

DUTIES AND RESPONSILITIES

• Work with various shared service teams in our corporate office
• Understand the strategy being put in place and assist the team in reaching goals and objectives
• Understand the calendar of deliverables and be proactive in planning for and supporting tasks
• Provide project and administrative support
• Create presentations on relevant topics within the asset management industry
• Interact with external and internal associates both at the staff and executive level

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum GPA of 3.2 is preferred  
• Preference for business majors with at least 2 1/2 years of college courses completed
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Protect confidential documents and materials
• Proactive thinking capability and ability to exercise good judgment

The pay rate is $25.00 per hour for the undergraduate student.
