Team Overview
Applied Materials’ MPO Manufacturing Engineering Department is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2025! The Manufacturing Engineering position is dynamic, activities and assignments may change day-to-day. The position will entail the following:

Manufacturing point of contact for resolving design and manufacturability issues

Generate and manage engineering specification waivers

Drive engineering corrective actions
-
Work instruction creation and updates
-
Design manufacturing jigs and fixtures

Facilitate manufacturing process improvements
-
Value stream mapping
-
Material routing
-
Material presentation
-
Tooling presentation
-
Build sequencing
-
Requirements
-
Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
-
Experience in Teamcenter, SAP, Windchill and CREO preferred.
-
Mechanical or Industrial engineering experience in LEAN manufacturing assembly processes, and work instructions preferred.

Motivated, driven, and self-starter.

Must be able to manage dynamic priorities.
Compensation
$29 -31 per hour
The rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
