Internship Program
At Five9 we are committed to providing an exceptional experience for our interns. We tailor our program to provide participants with real, impactful work, contributing directly to the continued success of Five9. Through our Speaker Series, Intern Buddies, Employee Resource Groups, and other events, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best in the business.
This is a full-time, paid internship based out of our headquarters in San Ramon, CA. The program runs 11 weeks with the opportunity to start in early or mid-June.

The Team
We're a collaborative, energized team of talented designers passionate about building awesome products. We value knowledge sharing and mutual growth, making it a common practice to level up together. We're a Figma-loving, multi-disciplinary team working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in user research: Participate in user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, and help the team gather and synthesize insights.
- Convert user insights into product design communication artifacts like journey maps and personas.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to create user flows, mockups, and high fidelity prototypes using components from our design system.
- Participate in design critiques and reviews: Present and receive feedback on design work, contributing to iterative improvement.
- Utilize your visual design skills to assist giving designs a visual polish.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design alignment.
- Support the design team with day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications
- Rising college senior or above, pursuing an undergrad degree in Product UX Design, and User Research.
- Must be able to work out of the San Ramon, CA headquarters this summer.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Stellar visual design skills and a deep understanding of UX and UI principles.
- Proficient Figma chops, including working as a consumer of components from our design systems, auto-layout, building components, and prototyping.
- Familiar with user research methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, etc.).
This is a full-time, paid internship based out of our headquarters in San Ramon, CA. The program runs 11 weeks with the opportunity to start in early or mid June. This role is hybrid. 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in office is required.

The hourly compensation for this role is:
$25—$25 USD
