Job Description:
Discover's General Business Undergraduate Internship Program offers exciting internship opportunities for highly motivated individuals who are interested in exploring a host of disciplines within Discover. Participants will work on challenging initiatives in a sought-after work environment and culture. Individuals selected will be matched to projects across the enterprise, in the many different business areas/disciplines within Discover business units. They will be challenged to exercise and expand their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, working alongside proven leaders on projects and strategic initiatives aligned with Discover's high-priority goals.
Participants can expect:

What You'll Do
- Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It
- Actively contribute to developing solutions to business problems using a wide set of key factors which involve critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Engage with cross functional teams and uses a variety of techniques to understand key stakeholders concerns, while also being able to address them and gain buy in. This might include: coordinating and facilitating meetings, capturing and clearly articulating notes, key actions and potential risks/ issues.
- Create communications verbally and in writing on project results and key initiatives.
- Communicates insights and conclusions using a variety of graphs, charts, PowerPoint presentations and/or other methods to tell a story to manager, key stakeholders, and business leaders.
- Establish an understanding of the business and brings fresh ideas to improve processes, generate efficiencies utilizing a strong customer service focus and mindset throughout.
- Effectively manages key projects and priorities to meet key goals and objectives and ensure successful completion and delivery.
- Work with a variety of key stakeholders including: business leaders, front line customer service agents and colleagues.
Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year college or university
