Please note: This posting is for a 8-month Student Fall 2025 placement with a start date of September 2025 and end-date of April 2026.
In order to be eligible for this 8-month Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of April 2026; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2025/April 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?
The Business Distribution Model and Advisor Role Strategy (BDMARS) Insights & Analytics team enables use of data in strategic decision making, measures / monitors key initiative impact, leads process automation / optimization, and executes ad-hock data-related requests. BDMARS Insights & Analytics Intern will contribute to this mandate, responsible for supporting and conducting analysis, design, and implementation of data solutions, leveraging RBC’s enterprise suite of analytical tools.
What will you do?
- Support and conduct analysis, design, and implementation of data solutions, leveraging RBC’s enterprise suite of analytical tools
- Support with defining / implementing data governance, security, and integrity / accuracy of data in model development
- Support with the implementation and maintenance of models
- Build relationships and collaborate with the BDMARS Insights & Analytics team and other key business partners
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Experience in statistical methods, big data technologies & visualization of data
- Excellent analytical skills (inc. Excel & beyond); Ability to creatively solve problems and communicate complex analytical solutions in user friendly language to a range of audiences
- Strong communication skills; Experience with PowerPoint an asset
- Self-motivated and independent worker with a solution-driven mind-set
- Interest in the financial services industry
Nice-to-have
- Experience building automated process-flows through Big Data Solutions
- Experience with data analytic (e.g., Hadoop, Datameer, SQL, Python) & visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
