Deere & Company is seeking a Factory Automation Engineer II - Industrial Control Systems and Automation in Thibodaux, LA with the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 3 years related experience. Required skills: PLC programming, experience developing and troubleshooting ladder logic, configuring network settings, input, and output cards (2 yrs); Jython programming, experience developing new applications and troubleshooting programming logic using Ignition SCADA Software (Inductive Automation) (3 yrs); Structured Query Language (SQL), experience writing queries and managing databases and tables (3 yrs); Develop testing standards for agricultural equipment using TestStand National Instruments software over CAN protocol (3 yrs); Experience using MES software, including SAP-MES, for mistake proofing of manufacturing processes, and shop floor device connectivity (3 yrs); Develop and maintain HMI applications including Ignition SCADA Software (Inductive Automation), FactoryTalk View Studio (Allen Bradley), or Tia Portal (Siemens) (2 yrs); Develop Bill of Materials for electrical projects involving PLC control panels and gather quotes from suppliers (2 yrs). Up to 20% domestic travel required.
