Deere & Company is seeking a Engineer Product II - Control Systems and Automation (CA) in Cedar Falls, IA with the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 4 years related experience. Required skills: Calculate performance of hydraulic and hydro-mechanical systems commonly found on vehicles and off-highway machines including propulsion, steering, suspension, loaders and hitches (4 yrs); Construct and exercise 1D dynamic systems models of same mechanical systems using commercial software such as Matlab Simulink or Simcenter Amesim (4 yrs); Combine same DSM models with software controls, and virtually test system to performance criteria (2 yrs); Synthesize and evaluate changes to hydraulic systems and controls strategies to solve performance issues (2 yrs). Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
