RESPONSIBILITIES
- Environmental/Safety Requirements
- Maintains, services and trouble shoots all Zeiss/CMM machines.
- Interacts with production and engineering on an as needed basis.
- In process production checks.
- Press set-up checks.
- Machining set-up checks.
- Final audit checks.
- In-coming product checks.
- Gage calibration and gage verification issues.
- Measures parts for layouts, PPAP’s and capabilities.
- Cleans and maintains all production and quality CMM’s and works with outside service Technicians when necessary.
- Program or assist with programming all Zeiss/CMM machines.
- Works with engineering on programs and measuring of new prototypes .
- Assist sister locations with programming and measuring projects.
- Measures production tooling. (New and Used)
- Participates in development of departmental policies and practices in an effort to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- WI location and understanding.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Reference the Physical Demand Analysis.
Required Skills and Education
Qualification and Education Requirements:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent, along with experience working with tooling and Zeiss/CMM programming is required.
This position requires basic knowledge of tool measurement and Zeiss/CMM functions as well as related duties, and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer software. Must have the ability to learn and use the Agile and Plexus systems, as well as, various measurement equipment software programs. Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T is a must. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
