Position Summary Supports new and existing clients in the implementation, configuration, and ongoing utilization of purchased benefits administration software. Serves as a trusted consultant throughout the onboarding process by gathering business requirements, configuring system settings, coordinating implementation activities, conducting testing, providing end- user training, and ensuring a seamless transition to production. Partners with clients to troubleshoot issues, optimize system functionality, recommend best practices, and drive successful adoption of software solutions to meet business and benefits administration objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation process, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive client experience from project kickoff through go-live. Leads client discovery and requirements-gathering sessions to understand benefit program structures, eligibility rules, enrollment processes, reporting needs, and business objectives. Manages all phases of benefits implementation projects, leveraging domain expertise to guide clients through configuration decisions, project milestones, testing, and deployment activities. Configures and validates benefit plans, employee eligibility rules, carrier connections, and system workflows to ensure accurate and compliant system functionality. Coordinates implementation timelines, deliverables, and communication between clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure project success. Conducts comprehensive system testing, quality assurance reviews, and user acceptance testing to verify accurate setup and identify potential issues prior to deployment. Troubleshoots configuration, data, and system issues during implementation and post-go-live, providing timely resolution and recommendations for process improvements. Reviews and validates benefit data imports, carrier feeds, enrollment workflows, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and integrity. Delivers client training and knowledge transfer sessions, enabling administrators and end users to effectively utilize system functionality and self-service capabilities. Provides consultative guidance and best-practice recommendations related to benefits administration, enrollment processes, and system optimization. Documents implementation decisions, system configurations, testing results, and client-specific requirements to ensure successful ongoing support and maintenance Monitors post-implementation performance and client adoption, addressing concerns, identifying enhancement opportunities, and promoting long-term client satisfaction Marginal Functions Build, maintain and promote relationships with team members, peers across disciplines, and all other company team members ensuring effective coordination of communications and services affecting clients. Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on best practices related to the company and department. Complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships Ability to multiple projects and deadlines effectively Utilize HRIS and benefits administration systems proficiently Apply knowledge of payroll and benefits processes Analyze data and resolve complex issues Prioritize work and meet project deadlines Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders Identify issues and implement practical solutions Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 35 years of experience in benefits administration, HRIS, benefits technology, implementation consulting, account management, or a related client-facing role. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established timelines and deliverables. Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, document business processes, and provide consultative solutions. Experience conducting system testing, troubleshooting issues, and validating data accuracy. Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, COBRA, FSA, HSA, and retirement plans.
