ROLE
The Division Manager is the leader responsible for overseeing all administrative activities within the division and its projects. Based on the indications of the Division Director, the Division Manager will be the owner of planning the division budget, administrating and managing personnel, procurements, travels and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

The Division Manager will be responsible for:

  • The operational processes related to the opening of research projects and their financial, administrative, and reporting management, in collaboration with the Division Director, Project Managers, Project Function and the Central Services.
  • Monitoring the strategic objectives of the division and translate them into operational and financial plans, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Elaborating and monitoring the (semi-annual and annual) budget, accordingly with the Administration and Finance Control Office, when needed.
  • Administrating personnel management activities with a strategic approach in agreement with the Division Director (stabilizations, promotions, contract renewals, attendance monitoring, MBO, hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, management of business trips and so on).
  • Managing the division procurement.
  • Supporting the Division Director in the implementation of fundraising strategies and definition of scientific proposal plans, acting as liaison with Fundraising Office for preparation of new proposals.


REQUIREMENTS
 

  • Strong skills in budget development, financial reporting, and cost management.
  • Experience in personnel management, with a track record of handling HR functions such as recruitment, contract renewals, terminations, promotions, and employee relations in a strategic manner.
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting tools, including accounting software (e.g. SAP).
  • Very good knowledge of the English language.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.


DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
  • The Managers will be based in Lecce/Bologna CMCC office.
  • Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
  • Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
  • Flexible working time as per internal policies.
  • Support during the immigration process, if needed.
