We are seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to support a live production hiring-event platform used by client-facing teams and end users. This role is highly production-focused and requires someone who can diagnose issues quickly, work across backend and frontend systems, collaborate with support and go-to-market teams, and take ownership of code changes from investigation through deployment.
The ideal candidate has strong Java/Spring Boot backend experience, secondary Django/Python experience, React frontend experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems. This person should be comfortable working independently, handling ambiguity, prioritizing urgent client-impacting issues, and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Enterprise experience strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve production issues related to live hiring events and event workflows.
- Debug malfunctioning or misconfigured product features across backend, frontend, data, and integration layers.
- Work closely with client-facing support teams and go-to-market stakeholders to triage and resolve support tickets.
- Monitor production systems and respond quickly to alerts, performance degradation, or system health concerns.
- Support timely issue resolution in alignment with established SLAs.
- Maintain and update event logic as dependencies, systems, and business requirements change.
- Support architecture changes and system integrations that may impact event functionality.
- Own code changes through build, merge, deployment, and post-deployment validation.
- Communicate clearly and concisely when working through ambiguous production issues.
- Use data and system signals to troubleshoot production behavior and identify root causes.

- 3-5 years of professional engineering experience.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative without heavy hand-holding.
- Strong prioritization and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, especially in ambiguous or urgent production-support situations.
