1099 Shower Installer – Flex/On-Call | Acrylic & Solid Surface Otterly Baths
We're building a trusted bench of skilled installers — not filling a roster.
Otterly Baths is growing fast, and during our busy seasons we need quality contractors we can call on to pick up shower installs when our own crews are maxed out. This isn't a full-time pipeline. It's a chance to get on our short list — so when the work is there, you're the first call we make.
WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE
- Wet area / shower installs — acrylic and solid-surface wall systems, shower bases, bathtubs
- Typically 1–2 day projects in residential homes
- Wall panels, trim, and accessories included in scope
- Basic plumbing, carpentry, and drywall work tied to the install
- Work assigned on an as-needed basis — volume varies with our season
REAL TALK ON HOW THIS WORKS
- We are not looking to fill your schedule week over week — this is not a full-time subcontractor role.
- Work comes in bursts during our peak periods. Some weeks we'll have nothing; other weeks we may need you quickly.
- If you've got your own steady book of work and want quality add-on jobs on the side, this is built for you.
- Contractors who do great work and communicate well will always be the first ones we reach out to.
TYPICAL PAY — WET AREA INSTALL
$1,500 – $2,500 per project Per-project rate based on scope and complexity. Payment terms outlined in subcontractor agreement.

- 3+ years installing acrylic or solid-surface shower systems — wall systems, bases, and tubs
- Hands-on skills in carpentry, basic plumbing, and drywall
- Professional with homeowners — you represent our brand in the field
- Clean, organized job sites and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own timeline
YOU MUST HAVE
- Active general liability insurance
- Own tools, equipment, and transportation
- Any licensing required by law
- Operate as 1099 / own business entity
