Location: Ann Arbor, MI – 5-days Onsite

What You Will Be Doing
As a Sr. Desktop Systems Specialist, you will Support HAEA’s customers, stakeholders, partners, staff and overall business strategy through the servicing and management of its
 technological resources. You will develop and lead in Image creation, deployment, and scripting, good knowledge in GPO, develop, recommend, and implement system upgrades and improvements for use by operations teams. The incumbent will also work with other team members to design and build environments to proper standards with associated documentation and processes, while also serving as a level of escalation by assisting Operations team(s) who support the environments.
  • Technology Planning & Engineering: Develop technical roadmaps, manage SCCM for deployments and patching, engineer GPOs for device control, maintain VDI environments, and lead OS image creation and compatibility testing.
  • OS & Application Strategy: Research and align OS/browser roadmaps with application dependencies, ensure hardware compatibility, and participate in standard device selection processes.
  • Service Coordination: Collaborate with business units to deliver solutions, improve desktop support operations, implement ITIL-based service models, monitor SLA compliance, and manage hardware/software inventory.
  • Vendor Management: Provide technical oversight, enforce standards and best practices, maintain procedural documentation, and resolve escalated technical issues with vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement & Reporting: Analyze ITSM ticket trends, generate device reports for research, and drive ongoing service enhancements through regular communication and data analysis.

Basic Qualifications
 
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience, with over 7 years supporting enterprise environments of 1,000+ users.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in end-user device management using Microsoft SCCM and Group Policy Objects (GPO), including patch deployment and report generation.
  • Communication & Service Skills: Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills, ensuring effective support and collaboration across teams.

Certifications
  • CompTIA A+ required
  • Microsoft Certified Professional required
  • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
Base Salary Range - $83,940 - $120,032
