Role & Responsibilities Overview:
Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software
Follow database best practices to improve the operational reporting environment while focusing on resolving problems raised by team members, stakeholders and end users
Implement/develop ETL using SSIS and other data movement requirements using SQL
Develops original and/or complex code in T-SQL/ SQL/ DENODO
Design and develop new SQL code as part of an ETL process
Improve SQL procedures, Window services / .NET programs which transform and load data
Develop stored procedures functions using T-SQL/SQL
Responsible for data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and
professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with peopleCandidate Profile:
Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
Must have advance SQL, SSIS & Teradata knowledge
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics area
- Advanced SQL/T-SQL knowledge
- SSIS (ETL) development experience
- Teradata knowledge
- DENODO experience
- ETL development, data profiling, source-target mapping, SQL tuning and optimization experience
- .NET / Windows services familiarity for data transformation and load processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
