Own the electric propulsion modeling roadmap for motors, inverters, gearboxes, and propellers. Develop, validate, and deploy physics-based models across aircraft programs, lead propulsion trade studies, and design experimental characterization campaigns. Build reusable engineering software and improve model fidelity using laboratory and flight data. Translate propulsion, thermal, efficiency, acoustics, and reliability insights into aircraft and fleet-level decisions through cross-functional collaboration.

The People Partner will shape people strategy across Zipline’s Rwanda operations, partnering with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, compensation, onboarding, engagement, culture, employee relations, investigations, and labor-law compliance. The role requires building trusted relationships, resolving complex people issues, delivering constructive feedback, and designing scalable HR processes. Frequent travel to Muhanga, Kayonza, and internationally is required.

Own the system-level design of welded steel drone-delivery towers and subassemblies, including structural components, mechanisms, and electronics integration. Apply mechanical fundamentals, hand calculations, FEA, CAD, prototyping, and testing to develop reliable products. Collaborate with electrical, software, civil, NPI, and supply chain teams to transition designs into production and field deployment. Maintain BOMs, release parts, create build documentation, support contract manufacturers, and periodically visit customers and suppliers.
