Teams at YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties

Provide lifeguarding and swim instruction at the YMCA, ensuring pool safety, performing rescues and first aid, teaching swim lessons, preparing lesson plans, enforcing rules, attending trainings, and maintaining positive relationships with members and staff.

Manage employee relations by conducting investigations, advising leadership on disciplinary and grievance matters, delivering training, drafting formal HR documentation, updating policies, and supporting compliance with employment laws while providing consultative HR guidance across the organization.

Lead and instruct climbing wall classes for youth and diverse participants, prepare age-appropriate lesson plans, enforce safety rules, and create an engaging environment. Maintain equipment knowledge, assist skill development, and complete required trainings and background checks.
