Teams at Yakima County Government

Provides administrative and public-facing support for voter registration, elections, passport services, public records, and candidate filing. Maintains voter databases, processes ballots and forms, verifies signatures, collects fees, prepares reports and deposits, supports bilingual Spanish voter outreach, and assists customers by phone, email, and in person. Participates in outreach events, citizenship ceremonies, statewide trainings, and election preparation while maintaining political neutrality and confidentiality.

Leads Yakima County’s cybersecurity initiative, including threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, access controls, security frameworks, and malware remediation. Maintains enterprise networks, designs secure network expansions, deploys firewalls and security appliances, develops disaster recovery plans, and supports equipment installation. Provides security training, technical consultation, documentation, compliance implementation, and strategic guidance across county technology environments.

Maintains inmate safety and security through booking, searches, fingerprinting, monitoring, transport, emergency response, restraint, meal and commissary distribution, recordkeeping, and inmate release procedures. The role operates control-room equipment, manages inmate property and mail, supervises inmate workers, and responds to facility incidents. Requires rotating shifts, physical agility, background screening, academy completion, and weapons qualification.
